Prologue

HÅKON KORNSTAD / INGEBRIGT HÅKER FLATEN
DAS KAPITAL

The Prologue, the upbeat to the 26th SummerJazzCycleTour will take place on the stage of the Groningen Grand Theatre. The opening night will present two international acts from the Nordic Route, a special thematic route of this year’s SummerJazzCycleTour, focusing on the lively Scandinavian jazz scene. The Prologue will feature the Swedish saxophonist Håkon Kornstad, the Norwegian bassist Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and the Danish guitarist Hasse Poulsen. The duo Kornstadt/Håker Flaten will improvise upon Norwegian folk music. The international trio Das Kapital will take the music of Hanns Eisler, the composer of Bertold Brecht’s theatre music, as its starting point.
